Maybe someone should create a thread in the hangaround titled: "VU's Greatest Players". Then everyone can have their say in a more.... civilised manner... :P However, regardless of the criteria for "all time greatness", I personally think that Random, as one of the current form horses of the game, is at the moment, a top 10 player. And Crissxcross is certainly very very good as well (as the players in the last era of Dark Blood can testify, LOL!). If there is any "all time great" still playing at an obvious "top 10 level" this era (IMHO), it has to be Binh...

I fully agree with this list, and quite frankly i havent seen Bongs in a long time.

My first era was under him and Sanoh in Drug Lord.

Him Sanoh and Blaze taught me the basics and pretty much taught me how to create my own strategy. Hes (Bongs) not only a good player but a good teacher.

Really i think the best player is easily determined when they are at their worst. When everything is against them.

How they compose themselves in attitude, strategy, and leadership in such a position is what determines them. Me, i've never really been one for luck until here recently and thats never kept me down. Thats one thing that i took from Blunts.

I remember the first era i played OOP our core was destroyed yet he urged everyone to move back and regroup.

Next thing we knew we were dominating The Guals on Zetemania and had the map under our control. He could take dog crap and make it into lemon juice and thats what stands out for me from Bongs.

why don't we do this serious! Beeing the greatest one we must consider all sides of the game, not only the highscore.

heres a list of qualities that makes one the greatest, rate from 0-10 points for each quality:

• Leadership/politics
• Farming
• Warfare
• Magic
• Paytoplay benefits
• Friends (it do matters)
• Roleplaying
• Smart use of game mechanics

taking the era winners for greatest players is fail...many of them have just been the biggest farmers, its easy to farm in a kd that keeps you safe.

I'm surrounded by morons.


If you haven't played this game for 5 or so years, you don't deserve to be making any list. Because you know nothing. Get off my game.

Maybe I should send an application into BoW, so I can be surrounded by "greats"? ;)

Ezatious, You wouldn't measure up. Your overall honor and courage are sorely lacking. I doubt you would even know what to do in an small-keep fighting against all odds kd. Your the type that needs to be surrounded by many-many players to protect you as methinks you cannot handle true adversity.

These threads are like extracting an ice core to find out the history of VU, only problem is, is that it`s an ice core of stupidity, as Drakos, Karac and the rest of the body of unknowns prove quite clearly.

Unkowns....lol   At least we are brave enuf to keep our name from era to era whoever you are Pink Unicorn. But testically challenged people who have something to hide tend to change their names every era, don't they?

You keep your names because you seem to be of the opinion, and under the illusion that you are somebody worth recognising, i.e, you posess an overbearing level of self worth.

While we, who operate in reality, think otherwise. As this thread shows. Outside your little circle-jerk of BoW scrubs, or sucker-upers from KDs we've never heard of, you're considered to be nothing. A nobody. An unknown.

guys i think we should talk about the best 10 players since in the most recent of eras i would say that would be frm the era of kob, to this era.

in that list some great players i think, like rox ,ezatious and sloth shudnt get a mention although i would say thay are great players, beter than me atleast, cos they'v nt been as successful as they were in the past.

in no perticular order

1- random - twice i played with him both times best player in my kd.

2- hanky - a great & successful leader PERIOD.

3- qassim - always up ther with the best in every catagory.

4- bogdan - i thought he was best player last era with most kills n fights n all.

5- dargoth - wasnt his biggest fan when he used to land drop in retribution n all bt he has proved he's a strong player yet again this era

6- binh - iv personally nt seen much frm him this era bt heard lost of gd stuff.

7- jones - was very strong this era by any1's standards,

8- nova - another solid performance this era, i have been and stil am 1 of his biggest fans.

 9 & 10 -  leav those empty cos i think iv forgot 1 or 2 players so some1 else can finish off for me

Having a go at Swifty saying he is unable to hold against all odds really is quite laughable. Do you know where he played?  The amount of kingdoms he's had to fight against and yet still prevailed many times over. You might want to research a bit the person you are arguing with before you make a fool out of yourself.

Mhm... cant say anyone is doing anything spectacular. But for now i would say Noa is the main thing :)

ill take sloths list and add a few of my own. IE. Ponsa, SoB, Tobleronx, Jeoren, Sparker, Tazz, CC, Goek, , Nimic (uber whorer), Lord Paul, Swampfot, i suppose i could throw in an adelbert or a baka :p

Sloth's list is missing a couple of other very very strong players (IMHO) - Kobuskan, Crissxcross, Jonathan, Greg, Trogdar, Adakis, Von Darkmoor, Scottology, Bogdan, Noa, Random, Penguinub, Dargoth, Bling, Sprout, Gladiator, Gladiatorul.... (and several others that I cannot recall atm :P). 

Also, the newer top flight players need to updated in: Ben, Adam, Carina, David... (and possibly some folks that I am not familiar with :P).

LOL! Feel free to check that old thread to confirm whether my name was sneaked in or not :)

Personally, I'd rather not be on any "great" list.... that way, my opponents can underestimate me, and that would allow me to execute my strategies and intentions more easily.... :)

1/3rd of VU? I thought it was more 1/100, LOL....

Anyway, different people will have different interpretations of the meaning "greatest", will have different qualifying criteria, and will have encountered different people in different forms in their playing careers. That does not mean their list is in anyway less "qualified" than mine or yours.... it is all up to them to post who has made the deepest impression on them as "greatest"....
